Introduction to Theology and Philosophy of Work: The First-Ever Macedonian to Hold IBS Training

Feb 15, 2025

The Institute of Biblical Studies that Cru runs is my very first taste of theological education. The first course I attended was back in 1999-2000. Ed Murray was perhaps the teacher then… or is the first teacher that made quite an impact. A few years later, in 2005, I packed my bags, and started my real studies at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek, Croatia.

Exactly 20 years after my departure to Osijek, I found myself in front of a very known and dear audience, this time, as their teacher. That privilege and responsibility was handed down by Goce and Alek, the two guys in charge of making sure the CRU MK staf gets proper, solid, applicable training.

IBS lecture 2

This year, we had 2 big blocks of lectures, where we walked through the material on what is theology of work, why do we need it, what’s the end goal of it, and how practicing it in real life leads to a society where everyone can flourish and contribute their gifts toward fixing/cultivating the world.

This was my first official engagement as a teacher for an IBS course. But me and Monika hope and dream that this is just the beginning. In our application process, both me and Monika said we want to participate in training, in working with various training and ministry materials, even authoring our own materials for CRU ministries in Eastern Europe.

We’re both excited for these opportunities to use our theological training in making CRU more effective in reaching students, business leaders, lawyers, professors for Christ.

Please support this ministry by praying, sharing it with your friends, and donating.
